We are excited to launch our e-learning courses for the industry and are confident that this will not only save you valuable time, but also the expense of travel to our classroom facilities. We trust that our e-learning programs will be a convenient way to complete your various training programs and refresher courses.
The following comments are provided to ensure you have an easy transition into e-learning and, like anything, once you are familiar with the process & functionality, it will become more and more seamless.

To access our e-learning, go to our website: cranfield.co.za, and click on the ‘e-learning’ button on the right-hand side of the home page. Alternatively, go to the e-learning specific Website: www.cranfieldonline.co.za
SA CAA require specific delegate information. Please take care to load these details carefully, as your certificate will be produced with these details printed on the certificate. Your registration will create your profile, and your information will be there indefinitely, including the Online Certificate Checker / Tracker for easy access to your expiry dates.
Payment can be made by:
- Credit Card
- For company account holders, course purchase can be made in advance and user ID’s can be emailed to your crew.
4. Terms and Conditions:
To comply with SA CAA requirements, the user just clicks the ACCEPT button after reading the terms and conditions, before commencing with the course material.
5. Interactive Elements:
Courses are designed with some interactivity to keep it interesting. We have included notes/instructions to guide you through.
6. Moving on:
You can progress from one module to the next by clicking the arrow to the right, or alternatively, if you scroll to the bottom of the section, you will see a button at the bottom of the page that will guide you to the next module.
To satisfy SA CAA that a learner is not just ‘clicking through’ the material without any learning, we have built in self-assessments periodically through the courses. You will be required to complete the self-assessment, and achieve a minimum of 80%, before you can continue. These generally comprise of 5 easy questions, and you have an unlimited number of attempts at these questions.
8. Monitoring your own Progress:
On the left of the screen, you will notice a progress bar, so you can see your progress / how much of a course you have completed.
9. Needing to Pause:
You may want to pause the course and return to the place you finished. This is no problem at all. Simply exit and when you return, it will take you back to where you left off.
10. Course feedback:
As with any accredited course, we are required by SA CAA to get your feedback. This is also our best means to ensure continuous improvement. At the end of the course, you will be directed to the Course Feedback section, with just a few quick questions on your experience.
11. Final Exam:
After completing all the material and self-assessments, you will be directed to a Final Exam (if applicable). After achieving the required pass mark, you will be able to download your Certificate immediately. The data for your certificate is taken directly from your registration, so please take care to enter the correct information on registration.
Each course provides downloadable reference material. Feel free to print these for easy reference during operations.
SA CAA require e-learning users to upload a copy of your photo ID, passport or crew licence, as prompted when you register.
