Target Learners: Supervisors, Leaders, and those involved in coaching and mentoring in a work environment, and those wanting to take on the role of Coach or mentor.

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to key knowledge, attitudes and skills pertaining to mentoring and coaching in the work environment. There are many levels of coaching and mentoring, and this course focusses on coaching a team member in order to enhance individual performance at work.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course you will be able to:

1. Explain the concept of coaching in a business environment.
2. Demonstrate skills and techniques required of a coach.
3. Organise and manage activities relating to a Coaching and Mentoring program including collecting and and evaluating information, gathering evidence of achievement, monitoring progress and and providing feedback.
4. Develop an action plan to coach two team members.
